Writing a compelling narrative that inspires donors to give calls on both the art and science of fundraising. The structure you will learn has helped dozens of organizations get to the essence of what they are creating in the world - both the immediate outputs of the work, and the impact this has in moving the world towards their vision. Telling a compelling story that is aligned from the impact you are creating to the income you need to deliver on your goals is at the foundation of how you raise major gifts.
Alex will help you harness a new perspective on how you approach your story, and give you the practical steps to create it. With these tools in hand, we will journey via guided visualization to get in touch with the core essence of what you’re trying to produce - so you can then communicate clearly and compellingly with donors.
We’ll be joined by two guests: Bennett Nemser, PhD, Chief Program Officer of the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, and Josh White, Founder and Executive Director of the Fireside Project.
The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation has given over $1.2B to over 3,500 organizations focused on health, children, underserved communities, the arts, and more. You will hear from a funder’s perspective what makes for a compelling story, how to frame your narrative, and tips for engaging your donors.
The Fireside Project has worked closely with Alex over the past several years, raising millions of dollars. Josh will share about his own success as a non-profit leader implementing the approach and practices covered in this workshop.
You will leave with clear steps you can take to transform your narrative and shift the trajectory of your fundraising future.
